IIT Kanpur and NTT DATA Services have partnered to promote Entrepreneurship among graduates. The partnership will look into financially supporting the Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre at IIT Kanpur and its drive to promote entrepreneurship.
To promote a spirit of entrepreneurship among the students and the youth of the country, a partnership between the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT-K) and NTT DATA Services has been formed. The objective of the partnership is to provide the necessary help to those graduates who are working towards the ground-breaking technologies in the fields of healthcare, agriculture, education, and water & sanitation, which will also have a socio-economic impact.
As per an official statement released by the Institute, the NTT DATA Services will be offering financial support to the Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC) at IIT Kanpur. In partnership with the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), SIIC had been established in the year 2000 to complete the objective of supporting research, innovation and entrepreneurial activities in the areas of Technology.
The statement declared that the Centre has been appointed to supervise and operate the Innovation Fellowship Programme at IIT Kanpur. The Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre has been known to be one of the prosperous “technology business incubators” in India, over the past two decades of its existence. SIIC has been cultivating the spirit of innovation among the graduating students of the Institute.

As per the statement released by IIT Kanpur, NTT DATA Services will be facilitating the promotion of research in different academic disciplines with the help of technology. It stated that NTTE DATA will be facilitating research aimed to iron out environmental, social and human challenges across the globe.

In the words of NTT DATA Services official, Dr Harsh Vinayak, technology innovation will dramatically help in solving the socio-economic obstacles faced by India. He added that the initiative like the one undertaken by IIT Kanpur will help in reconstructing and restructuring the world in order to solve the socio-economic issues.
