India-China Yoga College was jointly set up by Indian Council for Cultural Relations and Yunnan Minzu University in the year 2015. It was one of the ambitious projects of our honourable Prime Minister of India Shri. Narendra Modi. Today, Yoga has become very popular in China with millions of people practicing it across the country.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) is in plans to give preference to candidates who have the knowledge of yoga or have practiced yoga and are seeking admission in physiotherapy courses offered by universities and colleges across the country. UGC will take up the matter in the next meeting. If the proposal gets a nod, it will be implemented from the next year (2018).
