Jammu and Kashmir to Get New IIMs, AIIMS and IITs Soon

The central government has approved an amount of INR 80000 crore for the establishment of New IIMS, AIIMSs and IITs in Jammu and Kashmir. Some percentage will be invested in highways and irrigation projects. 

New IIMS, AIIMS and IITs for Jammu and Kashmir

New IIMs, AIIMs and IITs are about to open in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The central government has approved an amount of INR 80000 crore under the Prime Minister's State Development Package Scheme. Some percentage of the money will be invested in the construction of educational institutes. While the remaining will be divided between power generation, development of highways and irrigation projects.

The news was shared by Shri Sanjay Dhotre, the Union Minister of State for Electronics & Information Technology, Communications and Human Resource Development at the Central government special public outreach program, organised at Kalakote. He was there to speak about enforcing the initiatives of the special public outreach program for the overall development of the state and its people.

The Prime Minister Development Package (PMDP) will help restart long-term projects by removing the barriers in the state along with effectively implementing various schemes targeting individual beneficiaries. The main purpose of Dhotre's visit was to discuss different government developmental schemes with the state's general public.

The establishment of IIMs, AIIMs and IITs will lead to growth. In addition to this, the students who move to other states may now pursue their degree in the state itself. The state will also experience an overall development in technology and infrastructure. Government is also planning to introduce some power generation plants and irrigation projects at the state.
