JEE Advanced 2019 Important Dates

JEE Advanced 2019 exam date has now been postponed for May 27 due to the Lok Sabha elections. JEE Advanced 2019 will be completely a Computer-Based Test. Check JEE Advanced 2019 important dates here.

JEE Advanced 2019 is conducted every year by the seven Zonal Coordinating (ZC) IITs under the main guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB). For 2019, IIT Roorkee is going to be responsible for conducting JEE Advanced. The process for JEE Advanced 2019 will begin after the announcement of JEE Main 2019 results. The registration process for JEE Advanced 2019 is expected to begin in April for all the candidates who qualify JEE Mains. JEE Advanced 2019 will be completely a Computer-Based Test (CBT), and the exam conducting authority is yet to announce more details about the JEE Advanced 2019 CBT exam.

JEE Advanced 2019 Exam Pattern:

The examination consists of two papers i.e Paper 1 and Paper 2 of three-hour duration each that will be conducted in online mode. Both the papers of JEE Advanced are compulsory. The examination will be held as per the schedule given below:

JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria 2019:

  • The student should be among the top 2,31,024 candidates to have qualified in JEE Mains.
  • The candidate should have been born after or on Oct 1, 1993.
  • The candidate should have passed his/her 12th in either 2017 or 2018 with a minimum of 75% marks.
  • The candidate should not have accepted admission in any of the IITs earlier.
  • The candidate whose admission at IITs have been cancelled earlier will be ineligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2019.
  • A candidate can attempt JEE Advanced maximum of two times in consecutive years.

About JEE Advanced 2019

The second stage of engineering admissions to the IITs, i.e. JEE Advanced 2019 was conducted in the online mode across the country. It had 120 examination centres in India and 6 centres abroad. JEE Advanced 2019 is taken after JEE Mains, by only those candidates who qualify the JEE Main 2019 exam and become eligible to appear for this examination. Candidates qualify this examination for getting admissions in the reputed IITs and ISM Dhanbad.
