Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET) – Maharashtra has announced that the admission process for all ITIs (Industrial Training Institutes) will be based on a mobile application this year, i.e., MahaITI App. The directorate has instructed all ITIs across the state to develop a mobile application for 2020-21 admissions. Students can fill the online application form through the Maha ITI app, and the admission process that includes merit list and seat allotment can also be checked through the app. Considering the difficult situation due to Covid-19, DVET has come up with this initiative.
The application form for ITI admission in Maharashtra will begin after the announcement of Class 10th results. Students will be granted admission based on marks scored in Class 10th and college preferences filled in the application form.
DVET Maharashtra will release four merit lists for ITI admission 2020, and a counselling process is conducted for each round. The certificate or document verification is also expected to be conducted online this year. The directorate will constitute a district-level committee across all districts to monitor the counselling/ admission process.
