Engineering aspirants who wish to appear for MH CET 2017 but missed the deadline can apply for the exam now. Maharashtra DTE has reopened the application window from April 7 to April 10, 2017.
Students who were not able to complete the process and want to apply for engineering courses offered by colleges in the state must apply for the exam before the new deadline. Admission to engineering and pharmacy colleges in Maharashtra will be done as per the merit list prepared on the basis of MH CET 2017.
Since this is the extended window for exam application, candidates will have to pay close to twice the application fees.

Explaining the reason behind reopening the application process, Director of Maharashtra DTE, Dayanand Meshram said that there the registration window has been opened after receiving various requests from the parents and students that they should be given another chance to apply for the entrance test.
He further added that demand for engineering and pharmacy colleges offered by the state have been increasing. The directorate has recorded a rise of 45% in the application process for MH CET 2017.

DTE mentioned earlier that 38.2 lakh students have applied for the state-level entrance exam. According to reports, the number of applicants has increased as JEE is a relatively tougher exam with negative marking scheme. Chances of securing a seat through MH CET is relatively easier, therefore, the number of applicants is increasing.
