MICA has invited Professor Sanjeev Tripathi from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad in an attempt to strengthen its strategic marketing segment.

MICA has invited Professor Sanjeev Tripathi from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad to strengthen its strategic marketing segment. Professor Tripathi was formerly a consultant at the globally recognized market research agency, Nielsen and will now be teaching at MICA as an associate professor from August 1.

Tripathi graduated from IIMA and has also served the Government of India as a technocrat. He has also served office as an IRSME officer with Indian Railways where he was actively involved in operations, logistics, production and procurement. Sports marketing and management are his areas of expertise and he has been running a course for the same in IIM Ahmedabad since last four years.

He has also been involved in various projects on sports management with popular sports organizations. Sports marketing and management, consumer behaviour and behavioural pricing are Professor Tripathi’s areas of interest.

MICA previously known as Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad was founded in 1991. It is an autonomous, non-profit body that has been offering various academic programmes from the past two decades.

The Post Graduate Programme (PGP), the Crafting Creative Communications (CCC) and the Fellow Programme in Management-Communications (FPM-C) are the three residential programs offered by MICA.

Apart from this, MICA also offers PGDM-C that is equivalent to MBA and is an AICTE approved course. It offers specialisations in Marketing Research, Advertising Management, Digital Communication Management, Media Management and Brand Management.

It also offers FPM-C [Fellow Programme in Management- Communications] course that is a unique doctoral level programme approved by AICTE. It focuses on fundamental as well as applied research in the communication area, is sub-domains such as:

  • Communication and Media
  • Communication and Marketing
  • Communication and Culture
  • Communication and Social Change.
