Madhya Pradesh to Conduct Final Year Exams from August 24 Onward

Madhya Pradesh government has decided to conduct the final year exams from August 24, 2020, onward. The exams will be held in the online mode and those who wouldn't be able to clear the online exams can appear for the special exam, which will be held in September 2020.

 

Madhya Pradesh UG, PG Exams New Date

The Madhya Pradesh government has decided to conduct the final year exams for all the technical courses in the online mode from August 24, 2020, onward. Yashodhara Raje Scindia, the Technical Education and Skill Development Minister said that the decision to conduct the exams in August is taken after considering the safety and health of the students amid COVID-19.  The promotion of the students from the 2nd to the 6th semester will be done on the basis of internal assessment and their performance in the previous years. Scindia also made an announcement regarding other important dates for a few other exams as mentioned below.

MP Final Exams Dates 2020

Given below are the final exam dates for the various exams

  • Students who are not able to pass the online exams can appear for the special exams to be held between September 15 and 23, 2020. 
  • B. Pharmacy theoretical exams to take place on August 24, 26, 28,31 and September 2, 2020.
  • BE theoretical exam will be held on August 24, 26, 28 and 31.
  • Practical exams for the subjects mentioned above will be conducted between September 4 and September 9, 2020.
  • Diploma courses theoretical exams will be held from August 27-September 7, 2020 onward. The practical exams for the diploma courses will be conducted from September 8-September 14, 2020.

The government has also taken a decision to conduct regular online classes for the students of semesters 3,5 and 7 for 2020-21 from August 17, 2020, and classes for the first semester of 2021 from October 15, 2020, onward.

The decision regarding the reopening of schools will be taken on July 31, 2020. Since March 16, all the educational institutions across India have been shut due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The decision regarding the reopening of schools/colleges will be taken after holding a meeting with all the stakeholders in July.

In May, the state government had said that it will be conducting the final year or semester exams for graduate, post-graduate and other courses for all Madhya Pradesh universities from June 29 and July 31. However, due to the rise in the number of coronavirus cases, the government has decided to postpone the schedule.
