The application process for admissions at the University of Mumbai for international students has begun for the 2020-21 academic session. The international students can register themselves for Mumbai University admissions through its official website - www.mu.ac.in. The application process for foreign students will continue until the 31st of July 2020.
University of Mumbai affiliated departments and colleges have to admit foreign students (including NRIs, OCI, PIO etc) through this single window registration process only. The application forms received from the International applicants will be checked thoroughly by the department of students’ development who will issue a letter of eligibility and a letter of provisional admission. A letter of willingness and admission processing fee has to be submitted by the students after which a letter of intimation will be sent to the respective department, institute or college.
A senior faculty member will be appointed by each institute, department or college as the head of International students admission process and a direct line of communication will be established between the head and the foreign students.

For each course, the applicants have to pay an eligibility fee of 50$ which is non-refundable and 1150$ which will be the admission processing fee. For any kind of query, the students can get in touch with the University of Mumbai officials at international.admission@mu.ac.in.
The Mumbai University PhD Entrance Test (PET) recorded the highest number of applicants - 6,848 students out of which 326 have applied for M.Phil programmes.
