The University of Mumbai (MU) is a Central government-run University, that offers a wide range of courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Mumbai University offers these courses through its affiliations with different colleges scattered across the state.

Mumbai University offers admissions to various courses through merit and cut-off. Each year, based on the scores obtained by students in board exams conducted by various competent authorities in India.
