The session will also include Educational Talk by Dr. Shalini Urs, Chairperson of the MYRA School of Business.
• Dr. Shalini Urs —an academic and an institution builder, is the founder Chairperson of the MYRA School of Business.
• Dr. Urs has been a faculty of the University of Mysore for the last 40 years and was a Fulbright scholar and visiting professor at the Department of Computer Science, Virginia Tech, USA during 2000 - 2001. She has also been a visiting professor at the Indian Statistical Institute, Bangalore during 1998, and 1999. She has published more than 150 papers in peer reviewed journals and prestigious academic conferences. She has been an UNESCO expert and is commissioned to conduct many studies in the last 15 years.
• Dr. Urs is an information scientist and her areas of research include Information Retrieval and Social Media and Network Analysis. Widely travelled, invited to speak at various international and national conferences, Dr. Urs is a sought after speaker. Dr. Urs has won many awards including NDLTD - Adobe Leadership award in 2004; and Emerald Research Fund Award 2007-08. She was awarded the Mortenson Distinguished Lecturer and was invited to the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, USA in 2010.
• Recently, she was awarded Education Evangelist of India by SkillTree Knowledge Consortium for her outstanding contribution to the domain of Higher Education in India (March 29, 2015) and Women Leadership Award by Business School Affaire and Dewang Mehta Business School (November 15, 2014).
