NCERT has begun the application process for admission to the Diploma Course in Guidance and Counselling. The new diploma course will benefit in-service teachers, school administrators, and teacher educators.
The duration of the diploma course is one year and the application forms for the same are available on the official website. Interested candidates can apply latest by 20th November 2018 and the medium of the course is both English and Hindi.
NCERT Diploma Course in Guidance and Counselling Eligibility
- Any in-service teachers who have a teaching degree can apply for the diploma course.
- Candidates who are not working but have teaching degree along with two years of professional experience in teaching can also apply.
- Postgraduates in education/child development/psychology/ special education can also apply. However, candidates who have one year of professional experience in teaching will be given preference.
- The minimum pass percentage is 50% but there is 5% relaxation for reserved category candidates.

NCERT Diploma Course in Guidance and Counselling Selection Process
- Interested candidates will be required to fill in the application form which is available on the official website or can be obtained from the NCERT centres.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called to the NCERT study centre for the selection test. The selection test includes essay writing and interview.

NCERT Diploma Course in Guidance and Counselling Fee Structure
The course fee as per the different categories of the candidates are listed below:
- Course Fee Government Deputed Candidates from Centrally Funded Organisations (Indian) - Rs.19,500
- Private Candidates (Indian) - Rs.30,000
- Government Deputed Candidates from State/UT Departments (Indian) - Rs. 6,000
