NEET 2022 LIVE Updates

NEET 2022 Live Updates: As many as 18,72,341 students appeared for the National Entrance cum Eligibility Test (NEET), which was held today, on July 17, 2022, after the petition to postpone it was dismissed by Delhi High Court a few days back. The question paper of NEET UG 2022 is divided into 4 subjects namely: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Zoology. Each section carries 180 marks, thus totalling 720 marks. For every correct answer, the candidate will be awarded +4 marks and as per the negative marking rules, every incorrect answer will deduct -1 mark.

NEET 2022 Exam Timings & Reporting Schedule

Candidates are advised to reach the examination centre at least two hours before the examination commences at 2 PM.

List of Documents Required on NEET 2022 Exam Day

Following is the list of documents that candidates must bring to the examination centre to be allowed to take the exam:

  • NEET 2022 Admit Card (printed copy only) with a passport-sized photograph affixed on it (same as that on the application form)
  • One Passport-Sized Photograph (same as that on the application form)
  • Original Valid Photo ID (Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Voter’s ID, Student ID Card, etc.)
  • PwBD Certificate (if applicable)
  • Duly printed and filled Proforma downloaded with the Admit Card with a Post-Card Sized (4”x6”) colour photograph of white background affixed on it

NEET 2022 Important Instructions

The following listed instructions must be followed on the exam day:

  • The reporting time must strictly be followed as no entry after 1:30 PM will be granted irrespective of the reason.
  • The candidate must bring the above-listed documents to the exam centre.
  • The suggested NEET 2022 Dress Code must be followed and items such as electronic devices, food items, etc. are barred.

NEET 2022 Student Reactions

As per student reactions, the NEET 2022 exam paper turned out to be time-consuming as compared to the paper of 2021 and it was of moderate difficulty.     Based on the previous year trends, NEET 2022 expected cutoff is 50th percentile for the General category, 45th percentile for the General – PwD category, and 40th percentile for ST/SC/OBC category.     1. Use black/ blue ball point pen only to highlight the circles.

    COVID-19 Instructions to Follow on NEET 2022 Exam Day

    With COVID-19 cases showing an upward trend yet again, there are certain guidelines that aspirants need to follow on the exam day of NEET 2022:

    2. No bulky clothes with zip pockets, sequins, big buttons, or embroideries are allowed for male candidates. Candidates need to wear light and simple clothes.

    3. No Kurta-Pajama dress will be allowed.

    4. Wearing shoes is strictly prohibited at the exam centre. Candidates donning simple sandals or chappals with thin soles will be allowed.

    1. Female candidates cannot wear jewellery like nose pins, earrings, rings, anklets, necklaces, bracelets, or pendants to the NEET 2022 exam centre.

    2. Clothes with sequins, patches, embroidery, brooches, or big buttons are strictly prohibited. 

    3. No full sleeves clothing is allowed. Female candidates appearing for NEET 2022 need to wear half-sleeved T-shirt, kurta or shirt.

    4. Footwear with thick soles and high heels are prohibited. Female candidates need to don simple sandals or slippers with low heels.
