Education Minister on December 17 clarified that the NEET 2021 exam cannot be cancelled. Medical aspirants from across the country have requested to conduct NEET 2021 twice a year and that the exam syllabus should be reduced.

One of the NEET 2021 aspirants is of the view that NEET should have multiple attempts as most of them were unable to attend the regular classes. Therefore the exam should be conducted twice a year. On the other hand, candidates have requested to postpone the NEET 2021 exam to August/ September. Students are outraged as JEE Main 2021 will be held four times and they have requested HRD to at least conduct the MBBS entrance exam twice.

Many NEET 2021 aspirants and their parents do not wish to reduce the syllabus but have requested multiple attempts for NEET 2021. With the prevailing situation, students did not get enough time to prepare and could not attend the regular classes which has affected their preparation.

Medical aspirants are also seeking clarity on the NEET 2021 application process as there is no information regarding the same. The application forms for the medical exam are yet to be released.
