MHRD will announce the much-awaited NIRF Ranking 2020 on June 11, 2020. NIRF, also known as National Institutional Ranking Framework ranks universities and colleges across the country as per specific parameters. Last year, NIRF Rankings were announced on April 08. The NIRF Ranking 2020 will be uploaded on the official website of NIRF, and the same can be checked by clicking on the links below.
NIRF Ranking 2020 will be released in nine categories such as –
All the participating institutes will receive a rank as per their performance in parameters specified by the Government of India. Some of the major parameters include –
- Perception
- Outreach and Inclusivity
- Research and Professional Practices
- Graduation Outcomes
- Teaching, Learning and Resources
Last year, MHRD announced that all the higher education institutes in India must participate in NIRF Ranking. The ranking helps educational institutes to improve quality education. At the same time, these institutes are encouraged to focus on research activities.
Last year, top universities across the country such as IISc (Indian Institute of Science) Bangalore, JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University) and BHU (Banaras Hindu University) Varanasi dominated the top three ranks in the universities category. These universities have performed extremely well in all parameters.
