Over 10 Lakh Aspirants Take JEE Main 2018 Examination

  • JEE Main was conducted in 104 cities across the country, at around 1,613 centers and was organized in eight other countries. 
  • 10.43 lakh aspirants appeared for JEE Main 2018 and counseling process for the same will begin from June 2018.
Over 10 Lakh Aspirants Take JEE Main 2018 Examination

The Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination took place on 8 April 2018 and 10.43 lakh aspirants gave the exam. The exam was conducted in 112 cities in India and abroad.

JEE Main is conducted in both online and offline mode and the conducting body of the exam is Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The exam was conducted in 104 cities across the country and had around 1,613 centers and was organized in eight countries abroad. The figure reveals that JEE Main is one of the most popular competitive exams in the country.

JEE Main is one of the most prestigious competitive engineering exams in India as securing a seat in one of the IITs countries is every engineering aspirants dream. The sixth edition of JEE Main was held for around 11 lakh aspirants for admission into IITs, NITs and other technical institutes of the country.

JEE Main is also an eligibility entrance test for the JEE Advanced. The result for JEE Main Paper 1 is likely to be released in the last week of April 2018 and the result for Paper 2 may be declared in May 2018.

However, the counseling process for the same is scheduled to start in the month of June 2018 and the seat allotment will be based on All India Ranks and will be allotted only after the results are out for the same. Candidates should keep in mind that they will have limited time to make choice regarding the programmes and branches.
