Prime Minister Narendra of India, Shri. Narendra Modi is all set to launch the much talked about Fit India Movement on 29th of August 2019. As a part of the movement, UGC (University Grants Commission) has asked all the higher educational institutes to aware their students and staff about the benefits of walking, encouraging them to walk at least 10,000 steps a day and making them incorporate this activity in their daily lives.
The UGC has directed the campuses to send the video clips of the activities that are organised as a part of the Fil India Movement 2019. The activities must involve- making fitness plans, doing various exercises and incorporating sports activities on campuses on a regular basis. The fitness plans will be uploaded on the official websites and also offline on the bulletin boards of the campuses. The inaugural session of 'Fit India' Movement' can also be screened live in various colleges, UGC said.
