St. Xavier’s University – Kolkata has inducted its first batch of MBA course on August 07, 2018. The MBA course is offered by the varsity under the Xavier’s Business School. The varsity has been successful in enrolling 90 students for its first batch of MBA course. The varsity offers two-year MBA residential course in four streams. The MBA course offered by Xavier’s Business School has the approval of AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education).
Popular industrialist and alumnus of St. Xavier’s College, Mr. Sanjeev Goenka addressed the students on the first day of commencement of academic session. He felt delighted to interact with the youngsters.
Addressing the students, Vice Chancellor of St. Xavier’s University, Father Felix Raj motivated the students to become entrepreneurs instead of managers. There is a major difference between a manager and an entrepreneur. A manager will add value to a company and an entrepreneur will play a vital role in multiplying the value. Even though the path to becoming entrepreneurs is challenging and risky, students need to overcome those risks and challenges, he explained.

Xavier Business School – Kolkata is equipped with all the latest facilities available in the best B-Schools across the country. The B-School offers MBA in four streams including Human Resource, Marketing, Finance and Systems. Students can accessthe Wi-Fi facility on the campus. The air-conditioned classrooms are equipped with an amphitheatre, audio-visual systems etc. Students can access the facility of Digital Library 24/7.

The selection of students for the first MBA batch was based on XAT,CAT and GMAT exams. From the next year, the institute is planning to enroll students based on only XAT and GMAT score. The varsity is also planning to launch law courses in a couple of years.
