IIM Rohtak has witnessed the most dramatic increase with 6 per cent female students in 2016 (9 girls) to 50 per cent of the batch in consecutive two years. Check the table given above. Prof Dheeraj Sharma, Director IIM Rohtak said that one of the main reason for the increase in female enrollment at IIMs is because the corporates have made gender diversity the priority. This is one of the main reason that women are showing interest in higher education especially management courses. More female students are now competing for the CAT which has led to improve gender balance among students in IIMs.
