What to Expect at IIT Placements 2018-19?

Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are expecting a strong placement season this academic session. The first phase of IIT placements 2018-19 will begin from December 01, 2018. Popular firms have lined up to take part in IIT placements this year. Recently, IITs also confirmed that popular companies like Google and McKinsey are going to recruit IIT students this year. The first phase placements at IITs will take place for 7-8 days, and the premier institutes are trying to ensure a maximum number of offers in the first phase itself.

Samsung is aiming to recruit 1,000 graduates this year, and 300 students will be recruited from IITs by Samsung.

IIT Madras Placements 2018-19: 326 Companies to Take Part in Phase I

IIT Madras is all set for a robust placement season this year. The first phase placements of IIT Madras 2018-19 will take place from December 01 to 08, 2018, with a one-day break on December 05, 2018. So far, 326 companies have registered for IIT Madras placements 2018-19, and these companies are expected to make job offers across 490 job profiles. Compared to last placement season, there has been a rise in the number of participating companies this year.

This year, almost 1,300 students have registered for IIT Madras placements. The number is expected to increase, as some of the Ph.D. scholars are eligible for placements this year. Over 30 students voluntarily opted for deferred placements, as they are willing to pursue higher studies or starting up their own venture or start-up.

IIT Madras is hosting almost 50 start-ups this year for campus placements. A maximum number of companies that will take part in placements are from Research and Development/ Core Engineering sector. Consulting, Analytics and Finance will be other major recruiters this year.

IIT Delhi Placements 2018-19: 350 Companies to Take Part in Phase I

Over 350 companies have registered for IIT Delhi placements 2018-19. The Phase I placements of IIT Delhi are going to commence from December 01, 2018. Compared to the previous year, the number of companies participating in IIT Delhi placements 2018-19 has increased by 25%. These companies are expected to offer jobs in over 500 profiles. Students are expecting lucrative job offers with best perks. Popular international firms from countries such as the US, Taiwan, Singapore, Korea, Japan and some of the European Countries will take part in IIT Delhi placements 2018-19.

IIT Mandi Placements 2018-19: 45 Companies to Take Part in Phase I

IIT Mandi is set for another strong placement season this year. So far, 45 companies have registered for IIT Mandi placements 2018-19. Almost 110 students are expected to take part in placements this year. Compared to the previous year, there has been a surge in the number of recruiters and students. Already, 78 students bagged jobs in different companies until November 22, 2018.

IIT Mandi is conducting a longer placement process this year with an aim to give companies more time for conducting placement process. The move also reduces stress among the students and they can participate in placements peacefully.
