NEET 2020, which is scheduled to be conducted on May 03, 2020, has been postponed till the last week of May due to Covid-19 outbreak. New exam dates soon.

Looking at the current scenario of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in India, NEET 2020, which is scheduled to be conducted on May 03, 2020, has been postponed. PM Modi in his address called for a complete lockdown in India from 25th March 2020 for 21 days which lead to postponing of NEET exam. As per the current scenario, the board exams can go until the last week of April even after the lockdown is uplifted. Hence, NEET 2020 has been postponed.

NEET UG 2020 Admit Card Postponed due to Covid-19 Lockdown

NTA in its official notification informed that NEET 2020 admit card will not be released on 27th March 2020 due to the Coronavirus lockdown. The new date for issuing the NEET 2020 admit card will be reviewed after 14th April 2020.

In the latest report, NTA has informed that the NEET 2020 exam will be conducted in the last week of May. However, NTA will announce the final date for the NEET exam after assessing the situation.

Over 15.93 lakhs candidates have registered for the NEET 2020 exam and now there are high chances that the exam will be delayed as well.

In the year 2019 NEET was cancelled due to the Cyclone Fani in Orissa. As of now all the exams which were to take place in March and the first week of April have been postponed and the new dates have not been released yet. Authorities and conducting bodies are hopeful that the situation will get better in April. Therefore, there will be no need to postpone the NEET 2020 entrance test. But with board exams being postponed there are chances that NTA might have to push the dates further as the entire academic year will witness changes.

As NTA decided to postpone NEET 2020 due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the release of the NEET 2020 admit card will be delayed as well.
