While India is home to many skilled and qualified professionals in the field of medicine, the number of skilled and qualified paramedics in different fields and specialisations is still low. The career opportunities and the growth available in the industry currently make paramedical as a career, a profitable option.

Earlier, former Union Health Minister J P Nadda highlighted the shortage of paramedics. According to the Economic Times, 10% of the total deaths in India are attributed to SDC or Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Most of the these deaths and many like these can be avoided by making the basic healthcare infrastructure strong and holistic. For that, we need skilled human resource. Therefore, there are endless possibilities for a paramedic in India.

The healthcare sector of any country is one of the most important sectors, where both the government and private sectors work together to provide a better healthcare system for the people of the nation. Some of the most popular recruiters for paramedics are Apollo Hospital, Fortis, Nanavati Hospital, Manipal Hospital, Artemis Hospital, Columbia Asia Referral Hospital, PGIMER, and Max Superspeciality Hospital.
