Coronavirus Impact: NIFT Situation Test & GD-PI Admission Round Cancelled

NIFT has released an official notification stating that the situation test and GD/PI rounds have been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. NIFT admissions 2002 will be based on CAT and GAT results only.

National Institute of Fashion Technology, commonly known as NIFT has cancelled the Situation Test Round for its B.Des course and the Group Discussion/ Personal Interview (GD/PI) admission round for its M.Des course will be held online. The dates were initially pushed ahead for an indefinite period due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic but the exam has been cancelled now. NIFT has released fresh dates of the upcoming schedule of NIFT Entrance Exam 2020 along with the downloading of admit cards, result, call letters and other vital events will be announced soon on the official website of the institute.

Earlier, the Situation Test and the GD/PI were all set to be held in the month of April and May. Due to the nation-wide lockdown and the sudden spread of the coronavirus, NIFT had planned to push the dates of the exam ahead keeping the safety and security of the students in mind. However, the institute has now decided that it will not conduct the Situation Test this year and adopt a new method of selecting students.
