NIFT Delhi - Admission 2025, Courses, Fees, Cut Off, Placements

NIFT Delhi or National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Delhi was established in 1986 to offer a learning experience of the highest standards in fashion including technology, design and management. It is an autonomous institute, accredited by AICTE and recognised by the Government of India. NIFT Delhi was granted statutory status in 2006 and is associated with the Ministry of Textiles. The students here are exposed to new challenges, methods, advancements, and practices in order to be prepared for the competitive world. The NIFT Delhi campus initially started functioning from a temporary two-room set-up in its formative years and shifted to a full-fledged campus in 1994. It is the largest campus that offers all programmes of NIFT i.e. seven bachelor's and three master's programmes and has the largest student strength.

NIFT Delhi courses are offered at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the fields of design and communication. Some of the popular degrees offered are B.Des, M.Des, B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech and MFM. The courses offer both theoretical and practical training making students job-ready. Every four years, the institute reviews its curriculum with feedback from the business community, alumni, internal research, visiting academics, and subject-matter experts. The NIFT Delhi courses fees range from Rs 4 lakh to Rs 12 lakh approximately, varying depending on the degree level and the duration of the course opted for. 

Admission to these courses is based on the candidates' previous academic merit and the scores obtained by them in the entrance exams. The college conducts its own entrance test which is to be taken by the students for securing a seat during the NIFT Delhi admissions. The entrance exam will be followed by a group discussion (GD) and a personal interview (PI) session. The National Institute of Fashion Technology Delhi scholarships is provided based on the academic merit of the students. The NIFT Delhi campus is the largest among all the NIFTs and is considered one of the leading fashion institutes in the world. National Institute of Fashion Technology Delhi conducts it sown exam for admission to the institution. The exam comprises two sections General Ability Test (GAT) and the Creativity Ability Test (CAT). Held in online mode, the exam has to be taken by both UG and PG candidates willing to take admission. NIFT Act 2006 published in the Gazette of India on 14th July, 2006 confers Statutory Status on the institute. The Act came into effect from 1st April, 2007. The President of India is the ‘Visitor’ of the institute under the Act. The Act empowers the institute to award Degrees and other distinctions. NIFT is the first premier institute in India to award its own Degrees in the field of fashion education.
