Anna University has launched Bio-Informatics online Hackathon to fight COVID-19. The online hackathon is open until May 6th, 2020, and students/ faculty from any stream, startups, and developers from across the globe are eligible to participate in the same. Interested candidates can apply latest by April 26, 2020, for the Hackathon. Winners will be awarded cash prizes
The Online Hackathon to battle Coronavirus is an initiative of Anna University. IIT Bombay has partnered with Anna University for the Spoken Tutorial Project and will also be managing the hackathon.
The Spoken Tutorial Project is managed by IIT Bombay and the team has invited all the students who have scored 80 percent and above in its online tests of C, C++, HTML, Java, PERL, PHP, and MySQL, Python, R, and Scilab are eligible to participate.
The other major organisers of the Hackathon apart from Anna University include the Derbi Foundation, Bangalore, Climate Smart Technology, Coimbatore, and Madras School of Social Work.
The online Hackathon will not only spread awareness about the Pandemic will also help us fight the battle. Government and its agencies such as AICTE, NSDC, Skill India, Startup India, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) have shown its support to the online hackathon and fight the battle together.
