Central Board of Secondary Education-CBSE has decided to allow the IIT aspirants to sit for mock JEE-Advanced tests with computers available at CBSE affiliated school so that the candidates are familiar with the online examination and its pattern.
In the effort to make IIT aspirants familiar with the online exam pattern, CBSE has asked around 18,000 schools affiliated with it to allow IIT aspirants to use their computer laboratories from this academic year. However, the board also said that the facility may be extended to students who are qualified to write JEE-Advanced examinations only.

The admission board of the IITs had decided to organize the JEE- Advanced test in online mode from this academic year. The first mock test for JEE aspirants will take place from 1 May and 5 May 2018 as notified by IIT-Kanpur.
This exam is one of the most popular and challenging engineering entrance exams of the country and is conducted in two parts i.e. JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced. Various centrally funded technical institutes and NITs spread across the country provide admission to the students on the basis of their performance in JEE-Main.

The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the JEE-Main in pen and paper mode on 8 April. Whereas candidates who wish to take the exam in the online mode will appear for the same on 15 & 16 April 2018. JEE- Advanced will take place on 20 May 2018.
