CBSE to Promote Art and Culture in Schools

CBSE schools in Lakshadweep and Kerala will be promoting talent, creativity, art and culture among students so that they can showcase their talent. As per the reports, the board is planning to introduce a robust system which will focus on academic as well as the all-round development of the students. The new plan will just not have academics as its center but will simultaneously lead to the holistic development of students.

Tarun Kumar, CBSE Regional Officer, Thiruvananthapuram, stated that co-curricular activities are very important along with the main syllabus as they complement each other. Keeping that in view, the CBSE has sent letters to around 1,350 CBSE affiliated schools in Kerala and Lakshadweep which come under the Thiruvananthapuram division of the education board.
