DU Admissions 2019: Seats Still Available in Top Colleges and Courses

Many top colleges like Hansraj, Hindu and Miranda House still have seats in most sought after courses including this year's most preferred courses such as B.Com, B.A. (Hons) Political Science.

DU Admissions 2019: Seats Still Available in Top Colleges and Courses

After the admissions based on the fourth cut off list of the University of Delhi, there are still seats available in popular colleges and courses of the varsity. Popular DU colleges such as Hindu College, Hansraj College and Miranda House still have seats available in this year's most preferred course such as B.Com and B.A. (Hons) Political Science. The seats are even available for reserved category candidates.

Next, the fifth list of DU is scheduled to be releasing soon. It is being estimated that the percentage cut-off for courses may not drop by more than one or two marks, at least for the popular courses in the reputed or high ranked colleges of DU.

Updates from DU Colleges after the fourth cutoff

CollegeUpdate on Vacant Seats 2019
Kamala Nehru CollegeSeats are available under the BA (Honours) Journalism, the minimum percentage for which has dropped down to 95 per cent from 96 per cent.
Miranda HouseThe cut-off for BA (Honours) Economics same as the previous list. The cut-off remains at 97.75 per cent while the cut-off for BA (Honours)Sociology has dropped from 96.50 per cent to 96.25 per cent.
Sri Venkateswara College (Venky)Few seats vacant after withdrawals based on third cut-off
Gargi CollegeAfter the release of the third cutoff list, seats are available in B.Com and B.Com Hons.
Hindu CollegeThe cut-off for BA (Honours) Economics has been reduced by 0.25 per cent from the score released on the second list to 98 per cent. For BSc aspirants, seats are available for Zoology, Physical Science with Chemistry courses.

This year, DU has introduced a 10 per cent increase in seats for the EWS category under postgraduate and undergraduate courses. The number of seats for undergraduate courses has increased to 62,000. Separate cut-offs for the EWS category have also been released.
