    Hindu College Overview

    The CSAS Portal registration for phase 1 and phase 2 has been extended till October 12, 2022. The first merit list of DU is expected to be released on October 18, 2022. The second merit list will be out on October 30, 2022, and, the third list on November 10, 2022. Also, the 1st spot allocation list will be out on November 10, 2022. The DUET PG 2022 will be held on October 17, 18, 19, 20, and, 21, 2022, in a Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The DUET admit card was released on October 14, 2022, on nta.ac.in. 

    The CUET UG result 2022 was released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on September 16, 2022, at 4 am. Students can check the results on the website cuet.samarth.ac.in. The NTA was responsible for conducting the CUET registration, exam, final answer key, and publishing the results. The NTA will not release any centralised counselling schedule or All India Ranks like it happens for other NTA exams like JEE and NEET. DU seat allotment will be held in minimum 4 rounds, and may also go up to 5 or 6 rounds if needed. The DU Mid-Entry window will open after the second round of seat allotment. Students must note that Delhi University has not taken part in CUET PG this year. CUET is applicable only for undergraduate courses at DU.

    Hindu college admissions for undergraduate courses were earlier based on merit and the Hindu College cut off each year. The cutoff was based on the percentage of Class 12. However, from this year, the candidates will be required to qualify the CUET (Common University Entrance Test) exam for admission to Hindu College UG courses.     Hindu College - CUET Result 2022

    The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the CUET UG Result 2022 on September 16, 2022, at around 4 am. Students can check the results on the official website of CUET which is cuet.samarth.ac.in. The National Testing Agency was responsible for the registration of students, conducting the exam, formulating the answer key, and declaring the results using the Score Cards. Now, the merit lists will be prepared by the individual participating universities. Along with this, they will also decide upon their individual Counselling Rounds on the basis of the CUET scores of students. The NTA is sharing the CUET Result with the universities where students had applied. Students are thus advised to be in constant touch with their respective universities/colleges.  

     

    How to Check the CUET Result 2022?

    Below we mention the detailed steps of checking the results along with the CUET UG scorecard:

    • Step 1:Visit the official website of CUET cuet.samarth.ac.in. Students can also simply search cuet.samarth.ac.in 2022 result to get this link. 
    • Step 2:Click on the “CUET Scorecard” link on this page.
    • Step 3: Upon clicking, students will be guided to a new page.
    • Step 4: Enter the details like your Application Number, Password, and Security Pin and click on submit.
    • Step 5: You will be able to view your CUET Samarth results now. 
    • Step 6: Students must take a printout of their results for future reference. 

     

    CUET Result 2022 - Things to Note

    The results have been declared in the form of percentile.

    Hindu College Admissions 2022 - CSAS

    The CUET result 2022 announced by the NTA on September 16, 2022, at around 4 am. Now that the result is out, the individual participating universities, like Hindu College, will begin with their Registration Process and Counselling Rounds. Students must note that they will have to register with Hindu College as well if they are seeking admission through CUET. Delhi University has also activated the CSAS portal and students must register themselves on the CSAS as well. 

    Below we mention the detailed Hindu College admission process through CSAS:

    • The Common Seat Allocation System 2022 (CSAS 2022) will be conducted in 3 phases.
    • The first phase will be to apply to DU. 
    • The second phase consists of the selection of the student's preferred colleges. 
    • The third phase will be seat allotment followed by admission confirmation. 
    • You must fill in as many choices of your preferred colleges and courses on the CSAS Portal as possible. This will ensure you do not face any problems while seat allotment. 
    • There will also be a DU Mid-Entry window which will only open after the second round of seat allotment. 
    • There is also a provision of 30% additional admissions in the Reserved Category seats in the first round.
    • In the first phase, an application fee depending on the student's category will also be paid as follows:
    • UR/OBC/EWS/NCL students will have to pay the application fee of Rs 250.
    • SC/ST/PWD students will have to pay an application fee of Rs 100. 
    • Students must note that Hindu College admissions will be accepted only through the CSAS Portal 2022 and Hindu College registration.
    • The details you had filled in your CUET UG form will automatically reflect during your CSAS procedure.
    • The second phase will start after the CUET results are announced. The results have now been declared on cuet.samarth.ac.in. Therefore, now aspiring candidates will have to select their preferences of colleges and courses in the correct order of preference. 
    • In the third phase, seats will be allotted based on the CUET result 2022
    • You must accept the seat before the mentioned deadlines. 
    • If the student fails to accept the seat, it will be considered a Decline. 
    • Also, if a student is offered more than one seat, then he or she should select only one among them. 

    Hindu College offers full-time programmes at the graduate and postgraduate level. Some of the famous Hindu College courses are  BA (H) Economics, BA (Sociology), B.Com (H), M.Sc, etc. The admissions to Hindu College have changed criteria from the 2022 session. For the UG courses, students must clear the CUET (Common University Entrance Test) apart from clearing Class 12 exams and for the PG courses DUET (Delhi University Entrance Test) is a must. 

    Hindu College Admission Eligibility 2022

    The eligibility criteria for the UG and PG courses vary. Clearing Class 12 examinations with a minimum of 40% is a must to apply for Hindu College admission. While for the undergraduate courses, admissions were based on the Class 12 marks till now, the eligibility criteria have been modified in the year 2022. Students will have to sit for the CUET (Common University Entrance Test) for all the undergraduate courses and obtain the required minimum scores. The CUET will be conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency). As for the PG courses, students will have to clear the DUET (Delhi University Entrance Test). 

    Below are certain details about the eligibility for the UG and PG courses. Apart from the below-mentioned criteria, the scores of the CUET remain a common requirement for all UG courses and DUET is a common requirement for all PG courses.

    • For B.Sc and B.Sc (H), the aspiring candidates must have cleared Class 12 in the science stream.
    • For Hindu College BA (H), students should obtain a minimum of 45% in Class 12.  
    • For B.Com (H), students must obtain at least 45% in Class 12 with subjects like Mathematics, Business Mathematics, and commerce subjects.
    • For B.Com, Class 12 must be cleared with a minimum of 40%.
    • For BA (Programme), students must obtain 40% in Class 12. 
    • For M.Com, students must have a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a minimum of 65% marks. 
    • For MA and M.Sc, students must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant stream from a recognised university. 

    Hindu College Application Process 2022

    Admission in Hindu College is now based on the CUET exam since the alteration in the eligibility criteria has been implemented. Apart from registering themselves on the official admission portal, candidates will also have to register themselves for the CUET so that they are permitted to take the examination. Below we discuss the Hindu College admission procedure 2022 in detail:

    Steps for registering yourself on the CUET portal:

    1. The aspiring candidates need to visit the official website of the CUET exam which is cuet.samarth.ac.in, and click on the “New Registration” tab. A registration form will show up. Students need to fill it out with all the required details.
    2. Once the registration form has been filled out, there will be an application form. Students are to fill it out with all details and click on “Save and Proceed” as they do so.
    3. After uploading all the documents and photographs and signatures, students will have to pay the CUET application fee.
    4. The application fee for the general category is Rs 650, for OBC-NCL and EWS it is Rs 600, and for the SC/ST/PWD/Third gender, it is Rs 550. For outside India students, the fee is Rs 3,000. 

    Steps for registering yourself on the common application portal:

    1. Every year after the University of Delhi admissions begin, the university opens a common application portal for admissions. Students have to register themselves on the portal to participate in the Hindu College admission process.
    1. Upon registration, students have to fill out the application form. Various details like the name, contact details, course you want to select, the correct college name, etc. must be filled with care since no changes are allowed once the form is submitted.
    2. When the college cut off is released, candidates are needed to report to the college if they meet the cut-off. 

    It is to be noted that the common application portal for UG and PG are separate. Moreover, the entrance exam scores are a prerequisite for admission to Hindu College now. If the candidate clears these two stages, it will be followed by counselling and even an interview at times. 

    Hindu College Placements

    The students of Hindu College have an edge when it comes to placements. This is owed to the reputation that the college holds. While there are many societies within the college for various activities, “Disha” is the placement cell. Disha conducts enriching pre-placement activities for students to make them industry-ready. Personality development seminars, mock interview sessions, grooming skills, and communication enhancement are polished. 

    The Hindu College placement is a success each year with an average placement rate of 95%. The majority of the Hindu College recruitment happens in companies like Google, Deloitte, KPMG, HDFC Bank, Jaypee, Maruti, and Ernst and Young, among others. The highest package for the previous session was Rs 19.3 lakh and the average package was Rs 8.4 lakh. However, it is to be noted that the packages are usually higher than these figures. It is due to the pandemic that the packages were affected. 

    Hindu College Cut Off 2022

    Based on the CUET UG Result, which was released on September 16, 2022, Hindu College will prepare its merit list and counselling schedule. Although there will not be any merit-based Hindu College cut off 2022, the college will use the subject-based normalised scores of students to prepare the merit lists for admissions. The first merit list of DU or the Hindu College cut off CUET is expected to be released on October 18, 2022. The second merit list will be out on October 30, 2022, and, the third list on November 10, 2022. Also, the 1st spot allocation list of Hindu College cut off will be out on November 10, 2022.

Moreover, the students belonging to the SC/ST and other backward classes are also awarded scholarships from their respective State Governments.     • S Harbans Singh Financial Assistance for Economics

    As part of this, a scholarship of Rs 6,000 is provided on a merit-cum-means basis. It is awarded to deserving students from the 1st year, 2nd year, and 3rd year each of the BA (H) Economics course.

    • Saroj Bala Malik Scholarship

    Two scholarships of Rs 15,000 each will be provided to Science final year students as per this scheme. 

    • Amit Prasad Memorial Scholarship

    One scholarship each of Rs 12,000 will be provided to 1st year, 2nd year, and 3rd-year students of BA (H) Economics.

    • Sangeeta Negi Scholarship

    The toppers of the 1st year and 2nd year of B.Sc (Chemistry) will be awarded a scholarship of Rs 2,000 each.

    Hindu College Library Facilities

    The Hindu College Library is one of the oldest libraries in Delhi University. It was founded in 1899. The library is fully air-conditioned and digitised. There is an allotted reading room for students and teachers. All the best books and resources are stocked in the library so that students can make full use of them. Students can also avail of the library membership that offers them various added benefits. 

    Auditorium

    A huge auditorium of 3362 square feet is present in the university. It has a seating capacity of more than 900 individuals. In addition, there are also 2 green rooms and a balcony.

    Food court

    Hindu College food court consists of a canteen and open-air court. A variety of cuisines are available at reasonable prices. The canteen caters to the eating habits of diverse groups. A modern kitchen is present where hygienic food is freshly prepared. There is a capacity of 100 students for the indoor canteen and 200 students for the outdoor canteen. 

    Banking 

    A branch of the State Bank of India is present on campus.

    Girls’ Common Room

    A hall with sofas, seating arrangements, and a washroom has been specially designed for female students. It provides vending machines for all female hygiene essentials. 

    Health Facilities

    Hindu College is situated near famous hospitals like Hindu Rao Hospital, St. Stephens Hospital, and Tirath Ram Hospital. The institute has round-the-clock medical aid for the students and staff. All basic types of equipment are present on campus for medical needs.

    Hostels

    The Hindu College hostels are desired by most students upon admission. They are situated in a peaceful and greenery-filled environment. There are more than 119 rooms with all necessary facilities like Wi-Fi, clean washrooms, beddings, canteen and mess, etc. There are Common Rooms in the hostels which have recreational facilities. Most of the students spend a good time when they need rejuvenation playing chess, table tennis, and watching television in these rooms. 

    Hindu College Academic & Industry Collaborations

    The college offers one-year certificate, and self-financing courses in the following foreign languages: German, Spanish, and French. Foreign language skills equip the students for seeking employment in different parts of the world. The courses are conducted in collaboration with Goethe Institute/Max Mueller Bhawan, Institute Cervantes, and Alliance Francaise de Delhi. Teachers for foreign languages are appointed by their respective institutes with whom Hindu College has entered into a joint collaboration. The curriculums are designed by the collaborating institutes/Departments, unlike the syllabus for regular courses which is designed by the university.

    • Collaboration with ‘Save the Quest’ NGO for spreading awareness and conducting self-reliant activities for the visually impaired
    • Enactus launched Project Shreshth in collaboration with the Khadi Department of the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises, GOI, to inculcate entrepreneurship skills among women living in Badli Industrial Area.
    • Earthlings: The Wildlife Society organizes trips to zoological and biodiversity parks such as Kamla Nehru Ridge, National Zoological Park and Asola Bhatti wildlife sanctuary. The society has active collaboration with bigger organizations such as WWF engaged in fundraising and awareness campaigns.
      • The Institution has collaborated with the National University of Singapore, Singapore for faculty and student exchange. The student exchange has been going on successfully. So far, 7 students have visited the College to study for one semester each in courses such as Political Science, History, Zoology, and Sociology.
      • A World Bank-sponsored project of Kabul University - Delhi University Exchange Programme was initiated in 2010 wherein faculty exchange took place. Our faculty visited Kabul University for the on-site design of the curriculum and hosted their faculty for training.
      • A faculty member of the Statistics Department of the College was one of the Resource Persons for the DU – KU Mathematics Programme, which was a part of the Kabul University and Delhi University Partnership course towards Strengthening Education Programme (SHEP) in Kabul University, funded by the World Bank. Another faculty member was a Professor of Statistics in the Department of Applied Statistics, Debub University, Awassa, Ethiopia on UNDP Teaching Assignment from 20 October 2004 till 16 August 2005.
      • The faculty members of the Chemistry Department of the College are members of the core group of Leadership - A Teri Tetra-Pak Initiative. The course is for undergraduate and postgraduate students and focuses on business and sustainability. Two students have been selected as fellows for the course.
