The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test, popularly known as GPAT is a national level entrance exam held by National Testing Agency (NTA). The pharmacy entrance exam is conducted every year to offer around 39,890 M.Pharm seats in over 800 institutes located across India.

The notification for GPAT 2022 has been released online and the GPAT 2022 registration process has commenced from February 16, 2022 onwards. The exam date is expected to be out soon by NTA. Candidates interested in taking GPAT 2022 should start preparing for the entrance exam. Aspirants need to be well versed with the exam pattern and syllabus of GPAT 2022. A total of 125 questions are expected to crop up in the test for 500 marks.

GPAT 2022 Marking Scheme

The marking scheme of GPAT 2022 is very simple. A total of 4 marks are awarded for every correct attempt while 1 mark is reduced for every incorrect answer. No marks are deducted for unattempted questions.

GPAT 2022 is a three-hours-long online test that is held in a single session in a Computer-based mode. The GPAT score is accepted by all Institutions, Departments, universities, Affiliated Colleges/ Constituent Colleges approved by AICTE.

Is there a negative marking in GPAT?

Yes, there will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect response in GPAT 2022. No marks will not be awarded in case of not attempting the question. The questions marked with more than one answer will also be considered for negative marking.

Are GPAT questions repeated?

Yes, chances are. Candidates will get a complete idea about the various topics from the previous year's sample paper on which GPAT 2022 will be based. There are some questions and sections that have a probability of repeating.

What is GPAT 2022 scholarship?

The GPAT qualified students who have applied for the GPAT PG scholarship scheme 2021 will be able to utilize the scholarship for 24 months. According to AICTE outlines, the scholarship will be applicable for the entire duration of the course, as specified by the college for the respective course.

How do I start my GPAT examination study?

Applicants can start GPAT Preparation 2022 by going through the exam pattern and syllabus and understanding the types of questions asked. GPAT Syllabus consists of a total of 19 subjects which are further divided into various subtopics. Out of all the subjects, Pharmacology subjects carries the maximum weightage. Around 25% to 30% of questions are framed from this section.

Is GPAT necessary for Pharm D?

Pharm D students have not eligible for GPAT because Pharm D is PG Level Course.

What is the benefit of GPAT examination?

Candidates who clear the GPAT exam will be eligible for taking admission in AICTE approved colleges accepting GPAT scores in India. The exam is conducted for the admissions to 24000 seats of the M.Pharm program offered by as many as 841 participatory pharmacy institutes.
