Four Indian students spoke at an event held in Shiv Nadar University. The candidates explained why their policy idea can make the world a better place, following which they have been given an opportunity to get leadership training at Cambridge University.
Nine young people took part in the event at Shiv Nadar University which was held on 7th August. Each candidate was given five minutes to explain their idea and how their policy would improve the world if they had the right set of leadership qualities.
According to reports, over 450 youth participated in the forum, out of which only nine of them made it to the finals. The four winners have earned an opportunity to be a part of a global network of emerging leaders and have also secured places on the Future Leaders Connect.

It is an initiative of the British Council. Apart from this, the four winners will join the other participants to be a part of the nine-day advanced policy and leadership development opportunity. Candidates will also get a chance to visit Britain's House of Parliament.
The panel consisted of Rupamanjari Ghosh, Vice-Chancellor, Shiv Nadar University, Prof. Partha Mukhopadhyay, Senior Fellow among others.

The Future Leaders Connect will help the new generation to understand the dynamics of policy development by putting them in contact with the leaders of today’s generation. It will also help them develop national and international contact to bring a positive change in the world.
