This year, JoSAA has not released the Round 1 closing ranks after the first seat allotment result, and the candidates participating in Round 2 are facing difficulty in predicting the admission chances.
JoSAA 2021 Round 1 seat allotment result was released on October 27 and the Round 1 opening & closing ranks were supposed to be released on the same day. Every year, JoSAA releases the round-wise opening & closing ranks within in few hours after the announcement of seat allotment results. The round-wise cutoff helps the candidates participating in subsequent rounds to predict the admission chances. However, JoSAA did not release the Round 1 closing ranks this year after the seat allotment, and the last date to confirm the admission will be closed on October 31. It is to be seen whether JoSAA releases closing ranks before the second round seat allotment.
