Neeraj Arora is likely to enter the list of the most elite business leader as there have been speculations that this 39-year-old business executive may be the next WhatsApp CEO. After Jan Koum, co-founder and CEO of WhatsApp, the largest messaging app in the world, put down his papers, Neeraj became a forerunner for the role. Neeraj has worked as a business executive for WhatsApp since 2011 i.e. prior to the Facebook acquisition.

Neeraj graduated from IIT Delhi and then pursued management education from ISB Hyderabad. He has also worked at Times Internet and later served as the Corporate Development Manager at Google. According to a few discreet sources, Neeraj is the fourth pillar of the company and has a lot of knowledge about the business. His LinkedIn profile reads ‘all things business at WhatsApp!’
He made a place for himself in the market during his years at Google. Back then, Neeraj had planned that he will either launch his own start-up or will fund one. However, later he found himself amongst the leaders of WhatsApp. If appointed as the CEO of WhatsApp, Neeraj will enter the leagues of Google CEO Sundar Pachai and Microsoft’s Satya Nadella.

His batch mates and colleagues describe him as a down-to-earth and unassuming guy. Neeraj is also known to be very well-connected and his networking skills have helped him rise in the business domain. His success with WhatsApp in India was noticed by many and has helped him in achieving heights.
