Setting an example for aspiring Indian women, Manmeet Vohra has acquired a high status in the business world after being named 'Digital Marketer of the Year 2016'. After working with some of the top brands of the world, Vohra has proved her mettle by driving the growth of Starbucks in India.

She joined Starbucks in July 2013 as the Director of Marketing and Category and has now become 'Certified Starbucks Coffee Master'. Vohra has come a long was and believes that women can do a lot better in the field of business if they learn to use their emotional quotient wisely. Following are her quests as a student and marketing professional.

Manmeet Vohra’s Work History:

  • Prior to Starbucks, Vohra has worked for reputed brands like TAG Heuer, L'Oreal and Dior at LVMH.
  • Before Starbucks she worked at TAG Heuer at LVMH Watch and Jewellery India Pvt. Ltd for 8 years. There she started her journey of becoming a Marketing professional.
  • Having researched about various coffee houses including Starbucks and Howard Schultz, she was inspired to join Starbucks and worked passionately for its growth.
  • The first Starbucks in India was started in October 2012 and Vohra joined soon after to play a part in building the brand.

She believes that all professionals of the business world working for big brands should be appreciative and morally aware of the legacy of these brands in order to perform better. She also emphasized the need to keep moving forward with the marketing trends in order to stay at the top of the chain.

Vohra also believes that every marketing aspirant must read these three books – Malcolm Gladwell's The Tipping Point, The Art of War by Sun Tzu and No Logo by Naomi Klein.

She also added that one should aim for perfection in order to achieve their goals. Vohra says that all leaders must possess excellent people management skills and the tenacious nature of never giving up. She also said that an entrepreneur’s goal should be to keep his eye focused on the pulse of your present and potential customers.
