Miss India Elite, Tennis Player and Scientist to Start PGP Session 2017 at IIM Ahmedabad  

When most of the b-schools are working hard to achieve gender and academic diversity on their campus, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has done it.

One of the premier b-schools in the country, IIM Ahmedabad has finalised the PGP batch of 2017-19 with students from very diverse academic backgrounds. The institute has also succeeded in maintaining good gender diversity for the new batch.

Students from different work environments and educational backgrounds will soon be starting their business education at IIM Ahmedabad. Many of these students have already achieved various honours and awards in their respective fields.

Commenting on the achievements of the students and the new batch of IIM-A, Mohammed Raafi, General Secretary of IIM-A Students’ Affairs Council, said that the increase in diversity is a proof of that the education standards at IIM-A are widely accepted.

He further added that it was fascinating that academic contrasts like a Miss India Elite and a Rocket Scientist could both enroll for the same management programme offered by the Institute. This is an extraordinary achievement for the institute, Raafi added.
