SRKR Engineering College bags AAA rating at the national level for being a part of the Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs) conducted by IIT Chennai under the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NTPL).
SRKR Engineering College has been given AAA rating at the national level and 2nd in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for being a part of the Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) conducted by IIT Chennai under the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NTPL), the college principal Dr. G Pardhasaradhi Varma said recently.
He said that IITs and IISc Bangalore were conducting roughly 250 online courses and about 2,000 students from SRKR Engineering College had attended those courses through Chennai IIT, NPTL courses from July 2018-October 2018 in many programmes such as one week, four weeks, eight weeks and 12 weeks. Then finally they have to appear for the online exams.
1800 students of SRKR Engineering College were a part of these courses and got good positions. Bhaskara Ramamurthy, IIT Chennai’s director had given AAA rating certificate to the college on the basis of the performance, and SRKR college was sixth among the top ten colleges.

Among 1800 students, 27 students got top positions, 49 of them gold certificates and 500 of them got elite certificates. The college technology centre head Dr. N Gopalkrishna Murthy had got the rating certificate personally from IIT Chennai’s director.

SRKR Engineering College is a co-educational private engineering college. It was set up in the 1980s to offer good quality technical education to students. It enjoys a picturesque location in the countryside and is spread over 30 acres. It is registered under the UGC Act and is recognized by the AICTE and the Institution of Engineers. At present, the college is affiliated to JNTU, Kakinada. It offers 6 UG courses, 7 PG courses, and 5 Ph.D. programmes.
