St. Stephen’s College has decided to launch a course in Political Science (Honours) from the next academic session. The administration of the college has taken this step as Delhi University decided to launch additional courses in 63 affiliated colleges from the next academic session. The decision to launch additional courses was taken by the Executive Council of the varsity on February 28, 2017.

However, these colleges will apply for the approval to launch new courses from Delhi government and University Grants Commission. One of the officials of the Executive Council revealed that the approval for additional courses is given only after carrying out an inspection of these colleges.
Apart from Gargi College, Economics (Honours) course will also be offered in Sri Aurobindo College (Evening), Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College, Ramanujan College, Bhim Rao Ambedkar College and Bharti College. Similarly, some of the colleges will also offer Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) course.
