CM Adityanath added that the outcome of the Graduate Recruitment Teacher Exam is a telling sign of the deteriorating quality of teachers in the schools which requires to be arrested immediately.

Yogi wants govt school teachers to learn foreign languages

The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath has expressed his desire for Government school teachers of his state to learn foreign languages. He feels that if the teachers know a foreign language, it will increase their chances of employment in abroad as well. He also added that with the increase in demand for Indian teachers worldwide, a foreign language will augur well for them.

According to CM Adityanath, the first step towards providing competent teaching workforce to the foreign countries should be the identification of those countries where teachers are needed. The biggest role in this reconnaissance will be played by the educational institutes, opined the CM. The next step should be teaching the teachers the language of those countries that will enable them to get a job. He said that if the language of the identified countries is made a part of the curriculum, it will be more efficiently dissipated.

The students can only hope for quality education if concrete measures are taken towards improving the quality of teachers they will be exposed to, added Yogi.
