CTET 2020, which is scheduled to be conducted on July 05, 2020, has been postponed due to Covid-19 scare. CBSE has officially confirmed about the rescheduling of CTET July 2020 exam date. New exam date will be out soon.

CTET Exam Date

CTET 2020 – CBSE CTET 2020 exam which is scheduled to be conducted on July 05, 2020, has been postponed due to Covid-19 scare. The new exam date will be announced soon, and the date to download the CTET admit card will be notified soon. CBSE has released the official notification with regard to the exam postponement.

One of the reasons for the postponement of the exam can be the Coronavirus outbreak. With the government directing states to hold board exams and entrance exams with adequate social distancing measures, it is not possible for CBSE to double the exam centres for CTET by July 05, 2020. Therefore, CBSE has postponed the exam, and the candidates are advised to wait for the official notification on new exam date.

Expected/ Probable Reason for the Postponement of CTET July 2020

Some of the reasons that may lead to the postponement of CTET July 2020 exam are as follows –

Delay in Releasing CTET Admit Card 2020: There has been a delay in the release of admit card for CTET exam. This clearly indicates that the chances for the postponement of the exam are high.

Coronavirus Scare: Coronavirus is highly contagious, and India is close to 2,00,000 cases. In such a scenario, conducting CTET exam is risky. As more than 10 lakh candidates are going to appear for the exam, conducting exam with adequate social distancing measures may be challenging for CBSE.

Is there any Chance for Online CTET Exam?

Conducting CTET exam online within a short period may be challenging for CBSE. On the other hand, CTET has always been conducted offline, and switching the exam online might not be possible due to logistical factors. CBSE has to tie up with online exam centres and conduct the exam. However, this can’t be possible, as most of the entrance exams are scheduled in July.

The admit card for CTET July 2020 is expected to be released in the first or second week of June. There may be a delay in issuing the admit card if CBSE postpones the exam. The candidates must note that all the relevant information with regard to the new exam date and admit card date will be updated here as and when CBSE releases the official notification.
