CTET 2023 Exam Analysis Paper 1

The student's reactions regarding the difficulty level of Paper 1 ranged from easy to moderate, with sections like Environmental Science and Language 2 being particularly easy. The overall difficulty level of Paper 1 can be done by taking into account the following factors.

• The Child Development and Pedagogy was of 30 marks with difficulty levels ranging between Easy to Moderate
• Language I English (Compulsory) was 30 marks with a difficulty level between Moderate difficulty
• Language II Hindi (Compulsory) was 30 marks was marked ‘easy’ in difficulty level
• Mathematics & Science (Optional) was 60 marks with a ‘Moderately’ difficulty level
• Environmental Studies was 60 marks was marked ‘Easy’ in difficulty level
• With a total of 150 marks the overall difficulty level of Paper 1 is deemed ‘Moderate’
• Overall Expected Number of Good Attempts is 110 to 120 attempts

CTET 2023 Exam Analysis Paper 2

Regarding Paper 2, Students' responses to the difficulty level varied between moderate to difficult, with sections like Science and Mathematics being comparatively difficult. To assess the overall difficulty of Paper 2, one can consider the following factors.

• Child Development and Pedagogy carried 30 marks and is considered to be of an Easy to Moderate difficulty level.
• Language I (compulsory) also holds 30 marks and falls within the Easy to Moderate range of difficulty.
• Language II (compulsory) is worth 30 marks and is rated as Easy to Moderate in terms of difficulty.
• The Mathematics & Science (optional) section offers 60 marks and is generally classified as Moderate to Difficult.
• Social Studies/ Social Science comprises 60 marks and is perceived as Easy to Moderate in terms of difficulty.
• The total marks for the exam amount to 150, with an overall difficulty level rated as Moderate.
• The expected number of good attempts for the entire exam is estimated to be in the range of 110-115 marks.

CTET 2019 (December) Paper Analysis 2019 (Paper II)

The CTET 2019 paper-II was conducted from 2:00-4:30 PM on 8th December 2019. In this section, candidates had to answer 150 questions. There are four sections in the paper, which had to be solved within the duration of 150 minutes. The total marks allocated to the exam was 150.

CTET Paper I was conducted for candidates aspiring for a teaching job at the primary level. The Paper I exam of CTET was conducted from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. According to the analysis or opinion of students, CTET Paper I exam 2019 can be analyzed as follows -

• According to some candidates, CTET Paper I 2019 was moderately difficult. Some aspirants felt that the paper was easier than the December 2018 CTET Paper I exam.

• This year, the number of questions in the Child Development and Pedagogy section was more than the expected number of questions. However, all the questions in this section were easy.
• The Hindi language paper of CTET Paper I was easy than the December exam.

• The overall difficulty level of the CTET paper 2 exam was moderate to difficult.
• The Child Development section of CTET Paper II exam 2019 was moderate, and many questions were asked from Child Development & Learning Theories.
• Science & Mathematics section of the CTET Paper 2 exam was almost difficult, as most of the questions were asked from Geometry & Biology.
• As far as Social Studies concerned, the difficulty level of the questions was moderate, and most of the questions were asked from Geography & History.
• The Hindi & English section of CTET Paper 2 question paper was moderate.

CTET 2018 Paper Analysis

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET December 2018) was successfully conducted on Sunday, 9th December 2018 in two slots. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted Paper 1 and Paper 2 for screening candidates to be eligible for taking up teaching posts in the schools across the country. As far as the overall difficulty level of CTET Paper 1 is concerned, the question paper was of a moderate level and can be termed as easier than the previous time. CTET 2018 consisted of a total of 150 questions across different sections such as Child Development and Pedagogy, English Language, Hindi Language, Science and Mathematics (for the Science students) and Social Science (for the Arts students). 

In a nutshell, candidates felt that:

• The volume of questions in the Child Development and Pedagogy sections was high and were also a little more difficult than expected.
• The Hindi language paper was easier as compared to the previous year.
• The English language section was longer than usual.
• The Science and Mathematics section comprised of questions mainly from topics such as Biology and Arithmetic respectively. This section was of moderate difficulty level.
• The Social Science section was of easy to moderate difficulty level and questions in this section were mainly from Geography and Political Science.
