Will NEET PG 2025 be Postponed? The Supreme Court ordered the National Board of Examinations (NBE) to conduct a single-shift NEET PG 2025 exam. The order was passed on May 30 with respect to petitions filed by medical aspirants. The court opined that the two-shift exam will lead to arbitrariness, and the normalisation process should not be implemented. The counsel representing the NBE indicated that all the arrangements were made to conduct the exam in two shifts, and the order to conduct the single-shift exam might delay the entire timeline of the exam and counselling process. However, the court did not agree with the argument and indicated that there are two weeks left for the exam. Now, the NBE has officially released the notice that it needs to identify more exam centres to conduct the exam in a single shift as the court ordered. Hence, NEET PG 2025 has been postponed indefinitely and the examination date will be conveyed soon.
The official notice reads, "NEET PG 2025, scheduled to be held on 15.06.2025, has been postponed to arrange for more Test Centres and required infrastructure. The revised date of conduct for NEET PG 2025 shall be notified shortly."

NEET PG 2025 Postponed: Likely Reasons
Here is the list of possibilities that led to NBE postponing NEET PG 2025:It is NBE's responsibility to conduct the exam in a transparent manner, and conducting the NEET PG 2025 single-shift exam forceed NBE to implement additional security measures.
Conducting NEET PG exam in a single shift is not new to NBE, as the exam was always a single shift exam till 2023. But NBE needs to identify more exam centres for NEET PG 2025, and this will take additional time.
However, RRB NTPS examination is being held for over 1.2 crore candidates in CBT mode from June 6 to June 24 in three shifts, which amounts to over 6 lakh candidates per shift. This results in multiple exam centres being pre-booked for the RRB NTPC examination, leaving it tough for NBE to meet its need for over 900 extra examination centres needed for the NEET PG single shift examination. This leads to the possibility that NEET PG 2025 will be conducted after June 24.
