CAT 2021 results have been announced on January 3, 2022. 9 candidates have scored 100 percentile and for the fourth year in the row all 9 aspirants are men. A total of 19 candidates have scored 99.99 percentile. Among the 100 percentile scorers, 7 are from engineering backgrounds and 2 are from non-engineering streams.
With the announcement of CAT results, the names of CAT toppers 2021 have also been declared. The exam was successfully conducted on November 28, 2021. After the declaration of CAT results 2021, top B-Schools will start conducting Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI) and/ or Written Ability Test (WAT) rounds for MBA aspirants who have cleared the CAT exam. Candidates must download their scorecard and check their CAT 2021 scorecard and rank.

This year, 10 candidates out of 2.44 lakh candidates scored 100 percentile in CAT. All the candidates who scored 100 percentile in the CAT are from Engineering background. The highest number of toppers in CAT 2019 are from Maharashtra where four candidates scored 100 percentile. Almost 21 candidates scored 99.99 percentile, and 19 of them were from Engineering background.

Here is the list of CAT 2018 toppers who scored outstanding percentile in the top national-level management exam. These students have received calls from top IIMs/ B-Schools across the country. Whether or not all the CAT toppers will be from the tech background (as in 2018) is something that shall be unveiled soon. When the CAT 2018 results were announced, out of 32 top scorers of CAT 2018, 30 candidates were from engineering and technology background.

11 Candidates Score 100 Percentile in CAT Result 2018
This year 11 candidates score perfect 100 percentile in CAT. Rounak Majumdar from IIT Kanpur is one of them. The 22-year-old is currently working with American multinational finance company.
7 of 11 CAT 2018 Toppers are from Maharashtra
Out of 11 candidates who scored 100 percentile in CAT 2018, seven of them are from Maharashtra. This year, IITians dominated CAT results. Interestingly, seven top scorers of CAT completed their graduation in IITs. Jagesh Golwala, a 21-year-old final year electrical engineering student o IIT Bombay is one of the seven students from the state to have scored 100 percentile in CAT 2018.

Candidates aspiring to take admission in IIMs will have to apply individually if they have cleared qualifying cutoff of CAT 2021. Based on the profile of candidates, IIMs will invite the candidates to appear for WAT and PI. Apart from IIMs, students can also apply for other B-Schools that accept CAT 2021 score for MBA admissions.
