CAT 2017: Check Out Seat Reservation Policy at IIMs
  • IIMs follow central government reservation policy based on CAT 2017 percentile and score secured by students.
  • Aspirants of CAT 2017 must clearly note that reservation policies are applicable only to the institution but not CAT 2017.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow has conducted CAT 2017 examination, and the applicants are now in anticipation to get insights on their performance. Reservation Policy at IIMs:

Candidates who are eligible for reservation under various categories must understand that fulfilling the reservation policy does not guarantee the admission to IIMs. The candidates must have a prescribed eligibility criterion along with the minimum level of performance in Common Admission Test or CAT 2017 and subsequent rounds of the admission process. The reservation policies followed by IIMs are listed below: -

  • IIMs will consider only those categories mentioned in the central government list on the last day of CAT 2017 registration.
  • IIMs follow the reservation policy only for three categories of disability, i.e., locomotor disability or cerebral palsy, hearing impairment and low vision blindness.
  • However, disabled candidates who are suffering from more than 40% of the above-mentioned disabilities are considered eligible for reservation.

Note: - Candidates who wish to seek admission as per the reservation policies must upload the category or disability certificate at the time of registration of CAT 2017.
