The official notification of CLAT 2022 has been published by the conducting body on December 27, 2021. The CLAT 2022 application process is all set to begin on January 1, 2022. Read further to know the schedule of CLAT 2022.
The official notification of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2022 has been released today, on December 27, 2021. The conducting body of CLAT, the Consortium of NLUs, has released a press notification that informs candidates about the schedule and important dates of CLAT 2022.
The CLAT 2022 application process will commence on January 1, 2022, in the online mode. Candidates interested in appearing for the law entrance exam will be able to submit their forms until March 31, 2022. Through this exam, they can secure admission to the 22 National Law Universities (NLUs) and other colleges that accept CLAT scores for their admission process. The exam date of CLAT 2022 is May 8, 2022.

Earlier this year, the Consortium had released a notification stating that for the first time ever, there will be two CLAT exams in a year. The exam dates of CLAT 2022 and CLAT 2023 were announced through that notification. While CLAT 2022 will follow a similar exam schedule as the previous years' trends of the exam, CLAT 2023 will be held on December 18, 2022. Thus, CLAT 2023 has been preponed for almost 5 months and its admission schedule will also alter drastically.
All those who are planning to apply for the exam must make sure that their CLAT 2022 preparation is on point. They must also abide by the deadlines set by the conducting body as no extensions will be given to individual candidates. The application process will be organised in the online mode only and applicants will have to pay a fee of Rs. 4,000 (Rs. 3,500 for candidates belonging to the SC/ ST/ BPL categories) to successfully submit their forms.

CLAT is conducted once every year for admission to the various NLUs and other participating colleges. Through the exam, candidates secure admission to pursue five year integrated law courses or the PG level Master of Law (LL.M).
