CLAT 2020 Participating Colleges

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is one of the most popular law entrance exams conducted in the country. CLAT 2020 is going to be held in May 2020 for admission of law aspirants into the undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes. The result of CLAT 2020 will be announced in the second week of June 2020. Candidates must note that there are various CLAT 2020 participating institutes including National Law Universities (NLUs), and some private colleges/institutions where law aspirants can apply for admission.

Candidates appearing in the CLAT 2020 should know that on the basis of their score/rank in CLAT 2020, they can secure admission in various undergraduate as well as postgraduate law programmes namely, BA LLB, BCom LLB, BSc LLB and LLM offered at participating universities and colleges/institutions. Until now, there are 20 National Law Universities (NLUs) offering admission to deserving law aspirants.

Important Points to Remember about CLAT Participating Colleges

Some of the important points that candidates must know with context to participating colleges of CLAT 2020 are mentioned below:

  • Before selecting a particular college, it is very essential for a candidate to know everything about CLAT participating colleges/institutes.

  • Candidates must also know the cut-off, eligibility criteria and selection process of that particular college/institute where they've applied.

  • The cut-off of every participating institute varies from each other.

  • Candidates must note that different NLUs will have their own selection process to enrol the candidates in the law undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

  • Candidates who fail to turn up for the final admission procedure will automatically lose their candidature.

FAQs

Do CLAT participating institutes have common rules of reservation?
The reservation rules of all NLUs accepting CLAT score are almost similar. However, a separate merit list is released by NLUs after applying the domicile rules/ reservation for home state quota.
