The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a computer-based test (online), which will be conducted by National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi in 2018. CLAT is conducted for candidates seeking admission in undergraduate and Postgraduate law programmes such as BA LLB, BBA LLB, B.Com LLB, B.Sc LLB, five-year integrated, and LLM law courses offered at 18 NLUs.

CLAT 2018 Eligibilty Criteria

The CLAT 2018 registration process started from 1st January, 2018. Before filling the CLAT 2018 application form for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, candidates must ensure that they meet the required eligibility for CLAT 2018. The eligibility for both CLAT UG and PG programmes is as under:

English with Comprehension:

  • The English section will analyse the student’s English proficiency based on grammar and comprehension passages. In the Comprehension section, students are given a passage and questions, and they have to answer the questions with their understanding of the passage and meanings of the words given in the passage, its central theme, etc.

The seat allotment for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) will be done through centralised admission scheme and will be based on merit-cum-preference basis. In CLAT 2018, admission to various law programmes will be done on the basis of scores achieved by the candidates.
