About CLAT

CLAT will be conducted on December 1 this year and the application process will begin in July. CLAT is a national-level law entrance exam conducted annually in offline mode (pen and paper-based). Through this exam, candidates are offered admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law courses such as five-year integrated BA LLB, BBA LLB, BCom LLB, BSc LLB and LLM. Apart from NLUs, several other Government law colleges in India accept CLAT scores. The examination is a comprehension-based paper where an individual's legal aptitude, skills, and knowledge are tested. CLAT scores are also accepted by top institutes such as NMIMS-Mumbai, UPES Dehradun, Institute of Law, and Nirma University Ahmedabad.

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is the entrance exam basically conducted for admission National Law Universities (NLUs) in India.

While CLAT scores are also accepted for admission by many other law colleges in India, it is not necessary to appear for CLAT for BA LLB admissions.
