The 2020 GATE is being conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology - IIT Delhi. The institute has recently uploaded the Mock tests of GATE 2020 on the official website of the examination. The aspirants of GATE examination can practise the sample papers online though the mock test facility.
Earlier, a rumour popped up on social media saying that IIT Delhi is sending series of E-Mails to the aspirants of GATe examination which were later rejected by the institute. IIT Delhi previously released a notice where they have clarified that no such E-mails have been sent to candidates.
In a notice given on the official website of IIT Delhi, the institute has urged to the students not to believe in any fake E-Mails or links sent by anyone in the name of IIT Delhi. They can be fake or phishing e-mails sent by fraudulent groups to steal personal data of students. IIT Delhi has made it clear that all the required information regarding GATE 2020 is available on its official website. It also informed that the IIT Delhi does not send individual emails to students but gives information only on the GATE Web Portal.
The GATE Examination 2020 will be conducted on 25 subjects on the Computer Based Test (CBT) method. The dates of GATE Examination are set on 1st, 2nd, 8th and 9th February 2020. The examination will be taken for admission of students in IITs and NITs for Masters Level Engineering and Science courses.
8 institutes in India conduct GATE Exam in a circular manner. The conducting institute changes each year. The institutes which conduct GATE, are, Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee.
