IIM Ahmedabad Releases CAT 2021 Test Day Guide

CAT 2021 is all set to be conducted on November 28, 2021. The exam will be conducted in three different shifts and candidates who are appearing for the examination needs to report to the exam centre at least 30 minutes prior to gate closure time.

IIM Ahmedabad, the conducting body of CAT 2021 has released the CAT 2021 test day guide on the official website of CAT. This test day guide will help the CAT aspirants get familiarized with the workflow of CAT exam day. The test day guide covers everything from document verification to instructions to attempt the CAT 2021 online exam.

CAT 2021 Test Day Guide: Important Instructions

Some of the important instructions provided in the CAT 2021 test day guide are provided below.

• Candidates will be provided only 40 minutes (53 minutes and 20 seconds for PwD Candidates) to complete each section. Besides this, they will not be allowed to skip between the sections.

• A clock will be provided on the screen that will display the time left to complete the exam. The clock will start once the exam begins.

• Candidates will be allowed to leave the exam lab only after the completion of 2 hours. PwD Candidates would be allowed to leave between 120 minutes and 2 hours 2 minutes. 

• Candidates first have to pass through the frisking process and after that, they will be asked to proceed for document verification. They are allowed only to carry their CAT admit card and original identity proof.

• Candidates are advised to take a bio break before entering the Exam Lab since they will not be allowed to exit the centre until the exam is over.

• Candidates will be provided some time to read the instructions provided on the question paper before the exam begins. They can check all the instructions to know how to answer the questions in CAT 2021 exam.
