Indian Institute of Plantation Management, Bangalore Announces PGDM Admissions

Bangalore-based Indian Institute of Plantation Management (IIPM) has invited applications for its two-year full-time residential PGDM Programme in Agri-Business and Plantation Management (ABPM) the next academic session commencing from 2020-22.

IIMP was established in November 1993 under the initiative of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. This autonomous educational institute is also co-promoted by the Commodity Boards of India, like -Coffee Board, Spices Board, Tea Board, Rubber Board, and Plantation Industry Associations. The other co-sponsoring Ministries are -

• Ministry of Communication & Information Technology (MCI)
• Ministry of Minority Affairs (MMA)
• Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MSJ&E)
• Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD)
• Ministry of Communication & Information Technology (MCI)

Indian Institute of Plantation Management, Bangalore offers three different courses in PGDM. The eligibility criteria and admission process for all PGDM course are the same. Candidates can check all the courses for PGDM provided below.

• Candidates applying for the programme must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university
• Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in agricultural and allied sciences are also eligible.
• A candidate should also have obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA for general candidates and 45% for the ST, SC and Persons with Disability (PwD).
• NRI / PIO / Foreign students can also apply.

• Candidates can apply through the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET), conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority through counselling by selecting college code - B355.
• The Non-PGCET candidates must have a valid score of CAT/ ATMA/ MAT / CMAT or KMAT exam and have to apply directly to IIPM by downloading the application form.
  Candidates academic record, skills in writing, and test scores are taken into consideration in the selection process.
• There is also Group Discussion and Personal Interview round
• Reservation for ST/ SC/ OBC/ PwD candidates will be applicable as per the rules of Government of India.

How to Apply for IIPM Bangalore PGDM Admission 2020

• Candidates applying offline have to write for the prospectus and application form by sending a crossed DD of INR 1000.
• For the candidates belonging to ST/SC and PWD, the prospectus fee is INR 500.
• Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of “Indian Institute of Plantation Management”, payable at Bangalore.
• Candidates can also avail the application form online by downloading it from the institute’s website and further send the filled-in application along with the fee to the Admissions Office, IIPM Jnana Bharathi Campus, Post Office - Malathalli, Bangalore - 560056.
