Indian Institute of Plantation Management, Bangalore Announces PGDM Admissions
IIMP Bangalore has announced admissions for its two year full-time residential PGDM programme in Agri-Business and Plantation Management (ABPM)

Bangalore-based Indian Institute of Plantation Management (IIPM) invites applications for its two-year full-time residential PGDM Programme in Agri-Business and Plantation Management (ABPM) the next academic session commencing from 2017-19.

IIMP was established in November 1993 under the initiative of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. This autonomous educational institute is also co-promoted by the Commodity Boards of India, like -Coffee Board, Spices Board, Tea Board, Rubber Board, and Plantation Industry Associations. The other co-sponsoring Ministries are -

  • Ministry of Communication & Information Technology (MCI)
  • Ministry of Minority Affairs (MMA)
  • Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MSJ&E)
  • Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD)
  • Ministry of Communication & Information Technology (MCI)
  • Malankara Plantations Ltd.

Eligibility for ABPM Programme:

  • Candidates applying for the programme must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university
  • Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in agricultural and allied sciences are also eligible.
  • A candidate should also have obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA for general candidates and 45% for the ST, SC and Persons with Disability (PwD).
  • NRI / PIO / Foreign students can also apply.

Selection Procedure at IIPM Bangalore:

  • Candidates applying for the programme would be selected on the basis of their scores at CAT/ ATMA/ MAT / CMAT exam.
  • Candidates academic record, skills in writing, and test scores are taken into consideration in the selection process.
  • There is also Group Discussion and Personal Interview round
  • Reservation for ST/ SC/ OBC/ PwD candidates will be applicable as per the rules of Government of India.

How to Apply for ABPM Programme:

  • Candidates applying offline have to write for the prospectus and application form by sending a crossed DD of INR 1000.
  • For the candidates belonging to ST/SC and PWD, the prospectus fee is INR 500.
  • Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of “Indian Institute of Plantation Management”, payable at Bangalore.
  • Candidates can also avail the application form online by downloading it from the institute’s website and further send the filled-in application along with fee to the Admissions Office, IIPM Jnana Bharathi Campus, Post Office - Malathalli, Bangalore - 560056.

Important Dates for ABPM Programme:

The last date for submission of applications is 31st January 2017.
