Almost 22 lakh candidates have registered for JEE Main 2021, and Phase 1 will be attempted by 6,61,761 lakh candidates. Out of 22 lakh, more than half of the candidates opted for multiple attempts.

The Phase 1 exam of JEE Main 2021 is set to be conducted from February 23 to 25. Almost 6,61,761 lakh candidates are going to appear for the Phase 1 exam. According to sources, over 22 lakh candidates have registered for JEE Main 2021. Out of 22 lakh candidates, more than half have opted to attempt the exam multiple times.

As JEE Main 2021 is going to be conducted in 4 phases, the total number of attempts for the 2021 edition has crossed 20 lakh (as more than half appearing for multiple phases). The attempt ratio of the exam stands at 1:1:8. The number of registrations may also increase, as NTA will re-open the application window after each phase.
This year, UP B.Tech colleges will accept JEE Main score for admission, as the state-level exam UPSEE has been scrapped.
The syllabus of the JEE Main 2021 remains unchanged, and there are minor changes in the exam pattern. There will be 90 questions in Paper 1 out of which the candidates will have to answer 75. The choice has been given for Numerical questions. Multiple attempt policy for JEE Main 2021 will be beneficial for students, as it is a great chance to improve the performance and percentile.
